The Sea Gypsy

Tristan Jones was an old school sailor of the last century, born in the South Atlantic in the year 1924. When I was thinking of names for my gypsy wagon company, I remembered his boat being called "Sea Gypsy" hence the Road Gypsy. So I looked him up online and boy was I surprised!

His real name was Arthur Jones and he was born in 1929 in a Liverpool orphanage. He invented the born at sea story to make his life seem more interesting. The name of his boat was "Sea Dart". Upon further research I found Sea Gypsy was the boat of another author sailor named Peter Tanguald. I should look him up one day to give him proper credit.

So there you have it. Road Gypsy was named after the wrong guy who turned out to be a liar.
